What is Kineisology?
Kinesiology is a means of assessing imbalances in the body and of finding the best therapy to resolve that problem. Muscle response is tested in order to obtain this information from the body itself - much the same as accessing information from computer memory banks.
Kinesiology, used as an assessment tool, takes out the guesswork that can be involved in choosing remedies or employing other healing methods. Kinesiologists are taught the principles and rules of how to assess the person's health problems and how to apply techniques for correcting and balancing the body's systems.
These techniques are pulled from many therapies including acupuncture, chiropractic (excluding manual bone adjustments), nutritional therapy, herbology and flower and gem essence therapy - to name a few.
The human body operates under the control of electrical signals to and from the brain millions of times each second, delivering information on respiration, digestion, hormone release, etc. These electrical signals are affected by external electromagnetic fields (such as mobile phones, computers, etc.) and also by emotional trauma. When this continues to happen over a period of time, health problems start to manifest.
The brain acts like a bio-computer, controlling and monitoring the status and function of every part of the body. It therefore knows where there is dysfunction, damage or confusion, why it is there and what is needed to correct it. Classical Kinesiology addresses the whole body structurally, emotionally, biochemically and electromagnetically and provides us with a whole toolbox of methods and techniques to retrieve this information from the bio-computer and act upon it. The greatest gift that Classical Kinesiology gives us is the ability to access the body’s own wisdom and allow it to direct its own treatment.
The skill of the kinesiologist is in knowing how to ask the questions in a language the body understands, and how to read the answers and follow the information they provide. By applying gentle pressure on a muscle (e.g. in the arm), and sometimes touching a specific reflex point or a test vial, the practitioner is able to ascertain where there are energetic imbalances in the body and appropriate means of correcting these imbalances. Corrections may involve taking flower essences or other vibrational remedies and/or nutritional supplements, or perhaps tapping or massaging or just holding reflex points on the body. Classical Kinesiology is an invaluable tool in the analysis of health problems and the return to wellness.
